Interpreting

Interpreting

An interpreter/translator brings you closer to people from other countries in real time, so make sure you have expert support in developing your international relations.

Over the telephone, for a factory inspection, a conference or a meeting, when embarking upon commercial negotiations... there is no substitute for the skills of a French-English, Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Polish, etc. interpreter who specialises in the technical vocabulary used in the relevant field:

  • business interpreting (for trade shows, over the telephone, welcoming foreign partners)
  • scientific interpreting (reports by researchers)
  • legal interpreting (representation before the courts with a sworn interpreter)
  • looking for foreign partners

Which package is right for you? At Alphatrad we break our interpreting services down into a number of packages, tailored to meet our clients’ specific needs. Conference interpreters work by providing simultaneous translation, usually in a booth, as the discussion proceeds. You will, of course, need additional interpreters if there are several speakers. Consecutive interpreting takes place with a slight delay, as the speakers leave the interpreter enough time to translate what they have said. For solo linguistic support, you will need to allow for a certain number of breaks so that the interpreter can fully concentrate, and in a noisy setting such as a factory inspection, the interpreter will need a microphone and the listeners will need headphones to ensure both listening comfort and the quality of the dialogue.
