Official translations

A translation to be used by a government body, or even to bid for an international tender, often needs to be stamped by a sworn court-appointed translator.

This is a physical person who is entered upon a list of court-appointed experts drawn up by a special commission which generally meets once a year, at the French Courts of Appeal.

Nobody may claim to be a court-appointed expert unless appointed to the position by this Commission. This translator, who is especially highly skilled in legal work, has been officially sworn and his or her certification is treated as authentic by the European courts and government bodies.

ALPHATRAD works with a large network of notarised court-appointed expert translators. Our organisation and working methods mean that certification by an expert in the main languages does not prolong the turnaround time.
